FRODSHAM met Burton just a week after inflicting a heavy defeat on them in the UKFast Cheshire Cricket League.
But this time it was the Wirral side that took the honours.
Batting first at home, Frodsham were restricted to 172-8 in 40 overs, skipper Tom Wilkinson hitting a fine, unbeaten 55 and opener Daniel Connolly contributing 31.
Burton’s opening pair put on 47 for the first wicket so it swiftly became apparent they were not going to be bowled out as easily as the previous week, when they had capitulated for a meagure 37.
Roger London was the pick of Frodsham’s bowlers with 3-26 but the visitors reached their target with three wickets to spare.
Frodsham 2nd also lost, away to Appleton.
The home side batted first and hit a challenging 233-5. despite Andrew Graham taking 4-38.
Frodsham went for the runs, with Dave Woodall hitting an unbeaten 69 and M Connolly 34.
But they were all out for 181 just seven balls away from earning a draw.
Kingsley suffered a nine wicket hammering at home to Hawk Green despite posting a respectable 161-8, Danny Mullins hitting 41 and skipper Ben Stoddart 31.
Hawk Green embarked on a run-chase and lost only one wicket reaching 165 in 30.4 overs
Kingsley 2nd lost at Barrow after being bowled out for 102 with skipper Alex Wilson top scoring with 23. The home side lost only two wickets reaching their target.
Alvanley won by six wickets at home to Stockport Georgians.
The visitors were dismissed for 133, Ben Tumilty taking 3-39.
Skipper Michael Rowlands, 32 and Alex Reid, 32, got Alvanley off to a good start with an opening partnership of 51 and after that it was a comfortable stroll.
Alvanley 2nd won at Warrington after bundling the home side out for 115. The visitors lost three wickets reaching the required 116.
