A DISAPPOINTING performance with the bat left Frodsham still awaiting their first victory in the UKFast Cheshire League this season.
The team travelled to Trafford Metrovics where the home side won the toss and elected to bat first, hitting 189 all out.
There were good performances by Frodsham’s bowlers, Matt Deakin taking 4-26 and Jack McGrogan 4-49.
Leon Pietrzac and Adam Crosby each picked up a wicket too.
But Frodsham’s batsmen have still to find their form. They were bowled out for 104 with only Pietrzac, 28 and Deakin, 17 not out, reaching double figures.
Frodsham 2nd also lost, going down by seven wickets hosting Oxton.
Batting first, they hit 113-7, Dave Halliwell top-scoring with 44 not out and Pete O’Grady hitting 28.
Oxton lost three wickets reaching their target,
Kingsley inflicted a 110 win on struggling Northwich.
Skipper Ben Stoddart hit 31 and Toby Mullins 45 as Kingsley totalled 175-9.
Northwich were tumbled out for 65, Stoddart taking 3-25, Martin Jenks 3-4 and Charlie Loy 2-19.
Kingsley 2nd lost by seven wickets at Wilmslow after being restricted to 112-8, opener Richard Taylor hitting 27 and Julian Holmes hitting 21 not out.
Wilmslow hit 113-3, Andrew Taylor taking 2-26.
Alvanley came out on top in a low-scoring game at Christleton ere the home side were bowled out for 84. Chris Charles took 4-23 and Stephen Charles 3-25.
Alex Reid hit 46 and Michael Rowlands 36 not out as Alvanley strolled to victory.
Alvanley 2nd amassed 251-5 against Runcorn, with J Evans, 61, Josh Morris, 68, Roger Watt, 44 not out and Charlie Fletcher, 49, all among the runs.
Runcorn could only muster 144 with Toby Honeysett taking 2-31.
