Palliser and London bowl well – but Frodsham lose again

FRODSHAM went down by 43 runs after electing to field first against visiting Kerridge.
The visitors were bowled out for 196 in 43 overs, with fine bowling performances from James Palliser, 4-60 and Jamie London, 3-40.
Frodsham lost a quick wicket when they replied but then Roger London, 76, and Matt Williamson, 36 scored freely to offer hope.
But after they had gone, the batting collapsed and when the last wicket fell they were well short at 153
Frodsham 2nd elected to bat first at Winnington Park and managed a respectable 187-8 in 40 overs.
Dave Haliwell hit a fine 76 and there was a useful 24 from Pete O’Grady.
The home side got off to a good start and never looked back. O’Grady took 2-44 but Park coasted to 188-3.
Kingsley lost by 46 runs at Ashley, where the home side batted first and hit 194-7. Pick of the bowlers was Ben Stoddart with 4-44.
Getting off to a poor start, Kingsley were always up against it, despite a lively 56 from Martyn Jenks.
They finished up 148 all out.
Kingsley 2nd went down by 49 runs at home to Bredbury St Marks who batted first and hit 221-4.
Kingsley were restricted to 172-7, despite a fine, unbeaten 67 from skipper Jamie Creek.
Alvanley coasted to a nine wicket victory at home to Sale, after the visitors were all out for 136, Sophie Eccleston taking 6-22.
Skipper Michael Rowlands hit 83 not out and Stephen Charles 39 as Alvanley hit 138-1.
