FRODSHAM turned in their best batting performance of the season – but still lost.
Batting first they hit a challenging 221-3, with Richard Watt hitting a fine, unbeaten 131 and Roger London offering good support with 34 not out against Prestbury.
Openers Jaymie Smith, 18 and Matt Williamson, 10 and earlier given the side a good start.
But Prestbury went for the runs and although Matt Deakin, 2-49 and Nick James, 2-61, bowled well the batsmen were on top and eventually Prestbury ran out winners on 222-4.
Frodsham 2nd ran out winners against Irby after a keenly contested game.
M Connolly hit 32 and G Murphy 33 as Frodsham reached 144-9. Irby totalled 128 with Thomas Boyer taking 3-37 , Ian Deakin 2-15 and Dave Woodall 2-24.
Kingsley won by six wickets after holding Hawk Green to 150-9, Charlie Loy, Ben Stoddart and Craig Lynch bagging two wickets each. Kingsley lost four wickets reaching their target, Staddart hammering 76, Haris Yassin 35 and Lynch 31.
Kingsley 2nd lost by 18 runs at Stockport Trinity.
Trinity batted first and hit 176-9, Adrian Burden taking 4-41 and Jamie Creek 2-16. Kingsley finished on 176-9, Creek top scoring with 49, Fraser Hancock hitting 39 and Edward Leneghan 31.
Alvanley defeated Urmston by eight wickets after bowling them out for 108, Sam Mallows taking 5-45.
Jarryd Basson hit 34 not out as Alvanley replied with 112-2.
