Roger London hits 50 as Frodsham win high-scoring game

FRODSHAM won by three wickets in a high scoring game at home to Malpas.
The visitors chose to bat first and hit 208-5 in 45 overs. Jaymie Smith took 2-13 and Matt Deakin, Nick James and James Palliser each picked up a wicket.
Frodsham batted soundly throughout the order, Roger London top-scoring with 50 and good knocks from Jaymie Smith, 25, Adam Crosby, 20, M Connolly, 23 and James Palliser, 30.
Frodsham 2nd picked up 25 points without even taking to the field when opponents Cholmondley could not raise a team.
Kingsley won by four wickets at home to North East Cheshsire.
The visitors were dismissed for 125, largely due to a magnificent spell of bowling by skipper Ben Stoddart, who took 8-18 in 13 overs – five of which were maidens.
Stoddart was also on form with the bat as he top scored with 36 as Kingsley coasted to 128-6. Toby Mullins hit 31 and Martyn Jenks 33.
Kingsley 2nd lost by 31 runs at Maritime after the home side hit 171-9.
Joe Kitchen toojk 3-30 and there were two wickets each for Jason Taylor, Adrian Burden and Paul Betteridge.
Burden top scored with 35 for Kingsley who were dismissed for 140.
Alvanley lost by 64 runs at Timperley despite posting a respectable 214.
The home side batted first and hit 278-6 declared, Stephen Charles taking 3-77.
Alvanley went for the runs but wickets fell during the chase. Stephen Charles top scored with 40 and Jarryd Basson 39.
