The day the rains came – but cricket carried on!

RAIN interfered with most cricket in the Frodsham area – but local clubs did their best to play their games.
Frodsham’s game with Tranmere Victoria was abandoned – but not before Frodsham had been bowled out for a disappointing 86, with Jaymie Smith hitting 33 of them!
Kingsley hit 185-5 against Barrow with Toby Mullins hitting 67 and Matthew Dunnings 41. But the rain came when Barrow were 48-3.


Kingsley 2nd posted 152-9 at Neston with skipper Edward Leneghan hammering 76 not out. The home side didn’t get to bat.
Alvanley were 128-6 against Macclesfield when the rains came and.
But Alvanley 2nd managed to get enough of their game at Timperley played for it to be classed as a draw.
Alvanley hit 216-9, Will Evans 40 and Timperley were 181-3 when play was abandoned.
