Firefighters deal with blaze in play area

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a play area off Ship Street, Frodsham last night (Monday) after a fire was reported.
The blaze involved a quantity of waste material and the crew, from Runcorn, used a hose reel jet to extinguish it.
Ship Street is a regular port of call for firefighters because of fire started on or near the play area, although there have not been any reported for some time and the fire service has not indicated whether this blaze was started deliberately or not.
There were no reports of damage to property.
