Five seats on Frodsham Town Council remain vacant following elections

FIVE seats on Frodsham Town Council remain vacant following last week’s local elections.
The council now hope to fill them by co-opting members – but residents wishing to put themselves forward for co-option must contact town clerk Jo O’Donoghue by 4pm on Monday, May 15.
There are currently two vacant seats in Lakes Ward, two in Overton and Five Crosses Ward and one in Castle Park ward. They remain vacant because no-one offered themselves for election.
The council hopes to be able to co-opt additional members at its annual meeting at 7pm on Monday, May 22.
Further information and an application form can be obtained from the town clerk on 01928 73 or by emailing townclerk@frodsham.gov.uk or visiting the council website www.frodsham.gov.uk
If more people seek co-option than there are vacancies, the council may hold a secret ballot to decide which applicants should be co-opted.
