Fire crew called out to deal with forest campfire

FIREFIGHTERS were called out this morning to reports of a fire in the Delamere Road area of Norley.
They discovered it was a campfire in Delamere Forest, made up of loose branches and pine needles.
They used water to extinguish the blaze – sourcing some of the water from a nearby stream.
The crew was at the scene for more than an hour and Forestry Commission staff also attended.
