Frodsham lost a match they would sooner forget

Frodsham end the Covid-19 cricket season on a high note

FRODSHAM ended the shortened Covid-19 cricket season with a fine eight wicket victory at home to Wistaston Village.

The visitors batted first and reached 155-8 before making what turned out to be an unwise declaration.
Frodsham lost two quick wickets when they replied but then took the bowling apart to race to victory, Tom Wilkinson top scoring with with 73 not out.
Kingsley ended their season with a narrow defeat at home to Tattenhall.
The visitors batted first and were bowled out for a modest 110, Craig Lynch taking 3-28 and Ben Stoddart 3-20.
But the batting failed to come up with the goods, only Edward Leneghan showing much form with 38 as Kingsley were dismissed for 95.
Alvanley’s last match of the season was called off due to the opposition being unable to raise a team.
This meant Alvanley ended the season unbeaten and at the top of their league.
But there will be no promotions or relegations arising from the truncated season and next summer’s divisions will be based on the final positions in the 2019 league tables
