FRODSHAM Leisure Centre was the venue for the inaugural Chester Police North Rural Football Tournament.
Ten primary schools entered the competition, divided into two groups of five with the winners and runners up of the groups going forward to the semi-finals.
The winners and each semi-final then battled it out in the final.
It took a penalty shoot-out to decide the final winners – and the title went to Kingsley Primary School after a keenly contested game with St Luke’s RC Primary.
All those who took part received a medal and the winners and runners-up received trophies.
The winners also collected a schools World Cup style trophy and a £100 voucher to spend at Best Sports, Runcorn.
The event was organised by the local Police Community Support Officers and was designed to provide closer links between the schools, young people and Cheshire Police in the local area.
