RAIN again severely affected cricket in the Frodsham area.
It meant Frodsham 1st XI again didn’t get a game – meaning that five weeks into the cricket season they have only managed to play once and as a result languish at the bottom of the league table.
Kingsley, by contrast, managed to play their game against Oakmere and win by seven runs in a match shortened by the weather.
Batting first, Kingsley hit 120-9, skipper Ben Stoddart top scoring with 28, Haris Yassin hitting 20 and Craig Lynch 24.
Oakmere could only reach 113-4, Lynch taking 2-35.
The win left Kingsley sitting at the top of the UKFast Cheshire League division one.
Kingsley 2nd XI also managed to beat the weather and the opposition – Oxton, who were all out for 131, Patrick Phelan taking 5-17.
Kingsley hammered 134-3, Kingsley Warman hitting an unbeaten 57 and Fradzer Hancock 38 not out.
