Frodsham suffer a nine-wicket defeat – but Kingsley win

FRODSHAM suffered a nine-wicket drubbing at the hands of Glazebury in the UKFast Cheshire Cricket League.
Batting first at Glazebury’s Hurst Lane ground, they were bowled out for 126, Jaymie Smith top scoring with 43 and Richard Watt hitting 29.
Few of the other batsmen had an answer to the pace of Sam Stanier, who took 8-30.
Glazebury made short work of hitting off the runs, finishing on 130-1.
Frodsham 2nd’s game was called off because the opposition could not raise a team.
Kingsley won by eight wickets against Barnton, who were dismissed for a meagre 70, Martyn Jenks taking 5-12 and Tom Eyley 3-14.
Kingsley replied with 72-2, Haris Yassin hitting 26 and Toby Mullins 20 not out.
It was a different story for Kingsley 2nd who were bowled out for 97 after Knutsford had hit 222-7. Edward Leneghan was Kingsley top scorer with 28.
