Frodsham U3A to hold its annual general meeting

THE Frodsham branch of U3A – the University of the Third Age – holds its annual general meeting on Thursday (February 17) at Frodsham Community Centre.
After the business meeting there will be a talk by Jim Holmes on the topic “Landlocked Laos.”
U3A is a national organisation for people who are retired or semi-retired and the Frodsham branch normally meets at the Community Centre in Fluin Lane on the third Thursday of each month.
Frodsham U3A has more than 20 different interest groups ranging from Art and Artists to Walking.
Speaker at the meeting on March 17 will be Shan Bristow, and the topic “Styal and Quarry Bank Mill”.
The meeting on April 21 will be addressed by author Philip Caine on the top “Barrow to Baghdad.”
